Mulranny Rocks Or An Corraun, Achill-ish Depth

#1 Post by Potatonator »

Hi all again,

So I'm thinking of doing a spot of Pollack/Wrasse fishing in An Corraun or Mulranny, near Achill over April and was wondering weather a 2 foot Float rig with a sliding ball weight stopped by a crimp with a 2/0 on the bottom with a Ragworm or Peeler Or lug would
do the trick or if it would get snagged

oh yeah
the line is wire as I got these rigs in florida last year for snapper and look like they're worth a try over rocky ground, (The wire
is 125lb!  :o

Thanks

is 2 foot the length of the snood or the depth the float will fish at cos if so it might not be deep enough, ideally you be wanting your bait to float just above the weed so the depth you fish at will depend greatly on the depth of the water. you'll also want a sliding float stop since this depth will change as the tide rises and falls so you'll need to adjust according
