Shimano Aerlex spare spool?

#1 Post by timod »

Hi folks,I have a shimano aerlex 7000 xsa and ive been on the lookout for a spare spool for it now for a while.Have got them priced new and id be lookin a around 40 quid  Would anyone have any idea where I might get pick one up for a reasonable price? Also ive heard some spools from other shimano reels can be interchangeable, anyone know one that might fit the aerlex so i can keep a look out for one?
Thanks

Give the Shimano Service Centre a call.

They stock a large selection of spares.

i got quoted the same from felindre for a 6000 for an ultegra and thought it was a bit much. searched and searched online and never found anywhere else selling them. i did find 2 ebay listings from italy and australia that were 2 years out of date tho

with this crowd doing them for £50 it would be cheaper to have a spare reel than a spare spool

I have the exact same issue mate. Just gonna bite the bullet and buy a new reel as the Aerlex is actually getting on a bit. Lads do any of the Shimano reels come with 1-2 spare spools?
