Re: aldi 12ft telescopic
I don't think that rod will last long if you are going sea fishing. I will get some of the lures for €4. There was some cracking fish caught in Kerry last year on these cheap lures.

I find plenty of bits of them on the rocks of north clare where people have tried to horse things with them.

aldi 12ft telescopic
A 25 euro telescopic rod would be a waste of cash and will snap in no time. Emerald rods will get you fishing if you are stuck for cash and will last. Awful rod to fish with though. Best off getting a decent cheaper end rod like a Penn powerstick

Re: aldi 12ft telescopic
Telescopic rods are a waste of time in general, first time you get caught in a big clup of weed or get snagged you would do well not to snap the thing. Put a another few euro with it and get something that will last.
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Re: aldi 12ft telescopic
I had a Jarvis walker telescopic when I first started fishing I caught some big fish with it cost 30 euro. paid 80 for the piece of stick I have now and it snapped with feck all on it. went to see the aldi rod today reel is plastic and rod isn't much better so didn't buy it. bought a sand spike and glasses though seem ok.

Re: aldi 12ft telescopic
not all telescopic rods are bad but you wont get one that cheap ,i have two telescopic rods one is a grauvell and is a good rod for 3 oz work the other is an italian one with a quiver tip ,they are very handy for keeping in the car for those sneekey sessions
