Know the feeling mate. Me and my mate Nial were in Ballintoy a couple of Saturday's ago on the exact same mark and blanked  Totally disheartening when you look forward the whole week to fishing a supposedly good deep water mark

We moved on to White Rocks which was also a complete waste of bait. Better luck in Waterfoot lately though, Nial will be posting a report shortly I imagine as he had a great night last night :D

Better luck next time, hope its not too long before we see you out again.
Monty.

Stick with it but give Ballintoy a miss (dead loss). You're on the right track with the mark type. I'm using 2/0 hooks with big baits on Boom Pennel rigs. Its working for me at the minute.

Can't wait 'til springtime again but at least its not as baltic as last year :D

Was going to give the back wall of Portrush harbour a go as it should be into deep water but i'm preparing myself for tackle loss as i'm told it can be weedy. I make my own rigs so i'll be using the most basic stuff I can to minimise snags.

keep the faith,
Monty
