Portstewart Srand 26.11.06

Fished here tonight for 1 hour in howling rain. Baits used was rag tipped with squid on three hook flappers. Complete blank, dont think ill be back. Handy sitting in the boot of the car though watching the rod tips...still got soaked :? :?

dont write it off so quick hairy, its a great venue for flounder etc when in season and when using the right baits.
give it another go from september october time with rag , lug and mackerel and see the difference!

how far do you have to cast ive tryed it a couple of times recent with no sucess...looks a great spot

when they are on it they are really close in, 3rd wave a general target to startr then work in or out from that till you locate them.
sometimes the turbot are a little further out.

wat way should you fish tide?? should it start to pick up again soon?

i've caught fish at most stages of the tide on it, it may well pick up again in the summer evenings but to be honest ive never fished it before september.
