LRF fishing

Decided the other day that I was going to get some LRF (light rock fishing) gear as it looks like something that would be great craic. Catching all sorts of species on light tackle and lures. Especially after seeing some blogs where people were catching flounder on lures I thought I have to get in on that sort of action. it had everything I needed and the website is full off information.

The package arrived today in the post and will definitely be trying it out over the weekend somewhere.

Anyone thinking of a bit of LRF should take a look at this ebay seller.

Jig heads and bodies at really excellent prices. The postage from the USA is not that bad either. I have bought a few items off this guy and have had no problems.

It looks like it can be a lot of fun, might be able to test out the fighting capabilities of pin whiting etc. Deffo sweetwrasse I'll have a spare few jig and lure you can use as well.

The whiting are ok but the wrasse, codling, mackerel and herring are proper fun on lrf gear, the flounder aren't half bad either. I've been at it for about a year or two and even though it may not be everyone cup of tea, I really enjoy it.
