People: Myself and harry (my rottweiler)
Duration: 12.30 - 14.30
Tide: Low water 10.07 ---- 3.7mt tide
Weather: Wetter than wet
Bait: Crab
Rigs: 2 hook with long snoods
Results: 7 flounder and 1 bass
Report:
Bought a diawa supercast 115 last year to fish the interprovencial up north but it clashed with the clubs annual dinner so the rod was put back in storage. This morning it was dusted down and taken to Ringabella, a tidel estuary at the mouth of Cork harbour (western shore). First cast a doubler of flounder 40 and 37 cm next cast a doubler of flounder 37and 42 cm third cast a bass 43 cm after that 3 more flounder 34, 42 and 37 cm. No fish on the next cast so time to go home. Is this a record of somesorts for a new rod.
