#1 Post by thecatcher »

just wondering lads about bass locations in waterford,I fish mainly 2 east cork beaches and have only got into this lure fishing the last year or so.I have caught a good few bass last year including one specimen   , i release all my catch and really getting into this type of fishing got the bass bug.I would like 2 know if anyone ever fished annetstown and is it a good mark, looks promising from the pictures on google, also any other marks that are close to cork doesnt have to be exact locations lads just a step in right direction pms welcome thanks alot.

You did well to get a specimen last year with 20 fish. The general rule of thumb is one double for every 100 caught.

Annstown/Boatstrand, the headland to east of the pier is good over lw, its a dodgy spot if theres a swell and you can get cut off here dont stay long after lw.! theres a gully running back in to the beach its a good spot to baitfish fr the first 2 hrs of the flood,. the 2 best spots over hw. are were the stream enters and 300
meters back from here theres a sea wall...............its 1 of the best marks along that section of coast.
What I said in public
"Bass, there future in your hands, support catch and release"
..but I'm a liar really
