Tide:OUTGOING

Weather:COLD BUT CALM

Bait:LUG RAG, SANDEEL AND MACKERAL

Rigs:THREE HOOK SCRATCHERS

Results:BASS , FLOUNDER, CODLING , WHITING AND ROCKLING


Report:1ST CAST I TOOK A SMALL SCHOOLIE BASS 38CMS ON THE FLATTY FANATIC A GREAT BIT OF SPORT UNEXPECTED,
FLOUNDERS TO 25CMS AND ROCKLING 23CMS EVERYTHINGELSE WAS QUITE SMALL . GOOD TO SEE BASS FROM THIS BEACH ITS THE FIRST ONE IVE TAKEN HERE, NO DOGS ABOUT ON DISTANCE RIGS :wink:

Any tips on fishing glenarm. were you on beach or breakwater.

do you need long casts and what bait works here.

I'd say to fit 7 Rockhoppers on it, it had to be the Beach Pooks...

All I ever manage there are Dogs and Whiting.... :cry:

hey pookie i caught that bass on light tackle close in when lookin for flatties on a two up one down flattie rig size two g/point hooks, using small lug and frozen razor fish to tip the baits, it was a small bass but great fun on the light tackle
we were on the beach just at the police station
tide was well out :wink:

He lies! Bet he launched it to the Horizon with a full tilt Pendulum cast using a 5/0 Pennell with 2 Crabs on it.... at High tide, then retreated to the nearest tree for shelter.... bet he nearly fell out of it when he saw that bite too! :P :lol: :lol:

yea Pete as k2 says not much to do in Carrickfergus so we run an outing every week sometimes two, on a tuesday and sunday usually, have to admit looking forward to fishing your neck of the woods very soon we have an outing coming up at the guns of dunree on sunday 9th of april fishing from 10am to 3pm this was a super venue the last time we fished it with so many different species from pollock specimen plaice and dab, dogfish wrasse and im sure there would be rays also, weve also a weekend at kerrykeel for the rays at the end of may
