Re: International Match Rods Info...
One of the best scratching rods I have used is the new Anyfish Anywhere 15' International 30-125g.
It has a lovely forgiving action with a glass tip spliced in.Because of the slimness of the blank and the amount of carbon in the rest of the rod it is slightly top heavy so you need to add about 3oz of lead in the butt(3 x 1oz lead balls fit perfect).I thought it was going to do just for estuary work but have used it in places like benone in the small surf and down at the master this year and it performed superb. It is super for maddie fishing allowed a decent thump of a cast. You can get them from Belfast Angling Centre for £275 post free. Another wee rod I have is the conoflex beach quiver with a built in glass tip. 1-3oz 13' it is a nice light rod for speed fishing in close and at nights for flats etc. It has a faster action £189.99 from the same crowd(us!)
Hope this helps

Re: International Match Rods Info...
I got one of these rods yesterday, i Havn't used it yet but it certainly seems to have an amazing Glass tip, it will cast 4oz of lead too but ideally at home picking out those in close shy biters! Hoping to give it a good test over x-mas so will post my findings here.
Blue n White is the new Black!!!

Hi, i also have been using the AA 15ft international for about 5 months. Without a doubt the best Rod i have for light fishing. Blasting maddies off are a thing of the past!

Re: International Match Rods Info...
What sort of action, is it a through action rod or more in the tip...if ya get me?
Am thinking of getting one but was wondering if it is limited to its use : ie calm days with no wind etc?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: International Match Rods Info...
Hi Eric, the Rod in general is a through action rod. When the rod is in your hand and you give it a shake, you can feel it through to the butt section. Hope this helps.
Cheers

Re: International Match Rods Info...
and yes it has multiple uses. I bought the rod for estuary fishing but have been using it in open beaches when the surf is not to heavy.
