Passage East advice needed

#1 Post by shamoo0804 »

Visiting a friend in wexford for the weekend and plan on fishing passage east for cod tomorrow evening.

Never fished the area before, so just looking for as bit of help.

HW in waterford is around 10pm, and we'll be fishing 7pm ish onwards.

Will fishing that state of the tide be ok?

Is the ground clean or snaggy?

I've had a look at the osi map for the area and it looks like just to the right of the harbour offers a chance to get into deeper water - is this the best spot to fish?

Lug and crab ok for bait?

Any other spots in the estuary that might be fishing better at the moment?

Thanks in advance, pm's welcome if you dont want to post publicly.
