fished South Wicklow last week and they was little to no weed ! Very fishable......
Species list 2011 - Bass, Dab, Rockling, Dogfish,Common Smooth hound, Starry Smooth hound,whiting,pollock

Hi all, anyone know is there much weed around ennarialy/ arklow?

graystones behind driving range full of heavy weed and snags on the bottom unfishable 22/11
so went to the cove and was all clear and a few small fish

plenty of the real fine stringy stuff that eventually sinks your line and weighs a ton

and then the odd 3kg stalk of kelp throw in for good measure on Carne last night

plenty of weed on south facing beaches at the weekend - this may be starting to clear though

wasnt too bad in the estuarys

Fished Killoughter on Thursday 29/12/11 there is a lot of weed close in...Apart from that the fishing was OK we caught some good Dabs,LSDs and whiting.

Fishing today around Wexford Harbour. No real Weed. Not enough to put you off fishing anyway.
No fish either for that matter !!! :oops:

thinking of fishing thursday night - are the south beaches clear? - the wind is due to go down by then - so it will probably be full of it!!! :lol:

not that bad 2 days ago.took the dogs out around ballyhealy today was blowing smoke on the tideline.didnt see how bad weed was.wouldnt chance it myself..north wex prob... :? :? :?: :?: :?: :?:

South Wexford 1/1/2012 no weed at low water but as it started pushing back in the weed / kelp came on
