lure fishing north Dublin?

I have an opportunity to go lure fishing on Friday on a north Dublin mark ,my target is Bass. Do you think it is too late in the year for lures or should i just stick with bait?

Not too late still a few sandeel shoals about plus we havent had any frost yet so ye never know,the fishing gods might be good to ye
