tarbert north kerry

#1 Post by sammypants 13 »

going fishing in tarbert next tuesday :D
thinking about going bass fishing but i've heard that the bass there can be very small
if i went fishing for the bass would i catch some bass big enough to eat?
or am i better fishing the pier for flatties?
which pier do you fish on for flatties and other fish like pollack, whiting ect. and how far do you need to cast on the pier or at the outflow pipe for bass
also, can you dig lugworms there at any time of the tide or only at low tide

thanks

Hi sammy pants

There is a few spots for lug around tarbert and carrig think spinning for bass has declined with no hot water coming from power station that's just going on what the locals were telling me. If u like to pm for a few spots around ballylongford and Ballybunnion try put u on a few marks I no and have been getting good bass throughout the summer
