I think most of the people who fish Clare have noticed there is something seriously wrong, very few mackerel have been caught in the last month. I know they didn't really turn up in any numbers until around 25th August last year but we were catching a few before then.
On the plus side many of the mackerel haunts are deserted this year and there is not as much litter around North Clare.
The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.
