high tides this week!!!!!!

some very high tides this week lads mostly round the 4m mark, in cork anyways! wahts the fishing going to be like?? any opinions???????

Should be good for garretstown, I'm gonna try Wednesday anyway . What times are the tides ?
2013 species : coalies,flounder(pb),whiting,dogfish,5 beard rockling
2012 species : cod,whiting,coalies;flounder,5 beard rockling,bass,dogfish,dab

ya wednesday looks the best, the highest like 4.3 r something, tides are 7.10pm 2moro, 7.50 wednesday im down east myself so ill be stayin local!!!

Have a look at the post 2011 tide times and you will find out all you need bout the tide times
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

I'm off the weekend so I'll be tryin Roberts cove too :) Hopefully bag a bass this week !

5.6 meters in Galway last night! and dead calm too. Think tonight is a bit lower though.

just back from Garretstown there was a nice high tide but very calm. I started at half two and left at seven with only one touch on the bait but session was a blank :( seen one person with a good size pollock caught from a kayak fishing against the rocks

I was going to chance my arm at a bit of lure fishing there tonight but might reconsider now.
Was there any movements at all there?
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

Not a bit , it was flat calm all evening . I tried lures up and down the strand but not so much as a touch :(

we had a disaster of a night on wednesday down eastcork area it was brutal not a nibble the whole night!!!!!!!! dunno what it was evrything semed to be on our side like, high water, on shore breeze, BEST OF BAITS, and not a bite!!!!!!! Feckin fish!!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I've never had much at the top of the big tides but low water of a big tide have always produced fish

Laytown was crap too not a nibble from low to 3 hours into the rise,whats goin on guys :?:

eoghanb.. Laytown has been like that for a while :( have no idea whats going on there... One of these days Im looking forward to writing a report from laytown about anything but a Blank!! Hell, I'll even write about a crab if i got one there!!! :lol: last time there set out bait, did get two hits on lug, but i missed setting the hook :( But the bait sat out for over an hour untouched!! :shock:

fished long strand on friday evening from low water to high tide we had five flounder from low water
and not another bite after that; but very little weed
