Myt be stupid question

I have a 1988 70hp vro Johnson and wondering does this have a timing belt/chain or what system does it use... Thanks in advance

Ya know, its only one more bit of stuff to be stowed away and never used ( by me ) as a Johnson engine shall never again hang from any boat i operate. :evil:

I had one for about four months and it broke my heart, so much weight and so little power, but i guess that can happen with any machine, I had a Mazda once, and am still having nightmares, but having said that, it was an easy car to push.
