i wasnt being smart just sceptical :| i,ve seen pics of "15lb" bass that wouldnt push the scales over 8 or 9 lb so unless i see a picture i take everything with a pinch of salt
and shane as for you leave the bass out of the oven or theirs gonna be some ray with no wings

Dats fair enough rodger, seeing is believing, which is why i was lookin for a photo, but a 15lb bass is possible from the area, there was an 11lb bass got in mornington a few weeks ago, photo on the same web site, and id say it was the weight stated cause it looked same size as an 11lb'r i was lucky to catch in cork harbour a few years ago,i know what ur sayin though, theres a rumour of a 12lb seatrout got in the delvin river which flows out at gormanston beach without a picture id take that with a sack of salt,if u want pic of bass go into reports archive on fisheries site

anything is possible but if someone did catch a fifteen pounder you would be singing from the roof tops! you'd be showin pictures of your fish to strangers on o connel street :P
how come these reports are usually passed on reports second hand info where if it were true there would be some guy on a tackle shop tour of ireland, walking in the doors sayin did i ever tell ya about the time i caught a fifteen pound bass?

sure it probably wouldnt be long till your letterbox swung open with some f*cker shouting in "did i ever tell you about the time i caught a 15lb bass.......
