mackerel in limerick

does anyone know if there is mackerel on the limerick side of the shannon esturary

Not that I know of... been fishing that stretch for sometime now and no macks so far either for me or others that I see there...

where would the nearest spot for them be?
also, do you know any spots for bass in the estuary?

Have seen lads fishing and catching mackerel off Carraig rock near ballylongford
