People:me the da and his mate john

Duration:2-7 and 9-2.30

Tide:down and up

Weather:warm and slight nth/nw wind

Bait:crab lug rag mack

Rigs:pully,flappers

Results:me 1 thornie ray 1 tub gurnard 6 dogs, john 1 tub 2 dab 1 starry pup 1 3 b rockling 6 dogs, my da blank

session 1 2-7 the beach
well after a poor day on wenesday on ennereilly a plan was put together to hit courtown and fish it day and night so we arrived and had lines in the water for 2 o clock not long after my first cast i got a nice rattle and soon had my first ever tub gurnard on the beach only a small one but was happy with the new species then thing went very quite for a while until john had a small dab and then another soon after then he missed a good bite witch gave the rod a good rattle all the while myself and the da were biteless all afternoon then john got another good rattle and soon had a small pup on the beach and he finshed of the session with a small tub gurnard so we headed of to johns mobil for sum grub and a quick rest till the evening session
session 2 the pier 9-2.30
arrived on the pier with high hope of some goog fish but is was not ment to be the first fish fell to me a small thornie got on rag but was a welcome sight as it was only my second ever east coast ray and my fisrt thornie for over here then after a couple of hours the dogs showed up and that was that with john geting a small 3 b rockling on the last cast

Well done gettin a few fish. Seems to be a bit slow up that way recently. The tub gurnard are becoming a fairly regular catch up that way. Good to see them coming in shore. nice little fish.
