That wee red cod is a very well made fish. Yeah the midgeys are great fun arent they, the jungle formula aerosol can is the business, Bens 100 very effective too though nasty in eyes or mouth. The former is easier applied, using it at the mo and it really works.
Well done on more good results.

cheers man. i know what you mean about having to plan the fishing around the GF plans. caroline has got wise to my moves now and checks the boot of the motor when i suggest a day out up the coast for a nice cosy coastal stroll.Gabbey11 wrote:Great to see although where was the invite I mean you took dawsy haha

true man. between the trawlers and idiots filling tesco bags full of them under a pound i'm really surprised that they seem to be doing well in the area. i remember watching about 8 lads from belfast spinning for macks from waterfoot pier 2 years ago. they hit into a passing shoal of small codling at not even a pound and massacared full strings of them for over an hour. they must have filled a plastic bags worth each before we heard the ask each other did they know anyone who might want thempolmac wrote:great report as per usual man, those ray are cracking and its good to see cod appearing on the shores again. hopefully some greedy trawler doesnt butcher them

Re: going cuckoo in co antrim saturday 16th july
Yet again Al, another fantastic report and some real quality fishing. Those cuckoo rays are class looking, very nice catch indeed. You guys are clocking some miles up touring around the coast, good to see you's are back at it and getting great results for your efforts. Great pictures, the smile on Jordan's face and his big grin in the third pic says it all, brilliant stuff!

Just want to add my congrats for an excellent report - and the fishing wasn't too bad either
. Nice one wee man.
As I've mentioned to you before, the reports that you guys put up are far better than some of those that appear in the mags and the photos are just the icing on the cake.
Keep up the good work.

Was awesome wee trip, was over the just to see one of those beauties, made up for wee Jordan / (or should I say big Jordan). I am still recovering from sleeping over in that motor of mine lol!
The rays eluded me on this occasions but that just means I have an excuse to zip up the antrim coast again as soon as I get back from the egypt trip in 2 weeks. Hmmmmmm the travel rod is sitting on top of the suitcase I wonder will she be mad?? :mrgree

thanks very much stevie. we try to do our best to give an idea of what fishing is available on the antrim and down coasts in our reports. not exactly kerry or wexford, but there are still spots where good results can be had if you try hard enough and put in the effortStevieC wrote:Just want to add my congrats for an excellent report - and the fishing wasn't too bad either.
