We got ther just bout 11 and found someone set up since 7am and he had caught the tide to catch fresh mack and was now after the ray,but hadnt had any.
tide was going out and with it being a very low low tide it left very little water around the pier and we didnt really fish for a few hours after the tide changed.
Charlotte put one rod out and then started fishing for mackerel, i did the same but was interested in the ray, and paying off with one with the tide half way up and then it went dead again, and then came the mackeral starting with them juming for sprats.we both bagged about 35 and then it was time to stick to the ray. i ended up with 6 ray and 3 dogs and an eel and charlotte 2 dogs. biggest ray being 11.8lb braking my pb of 9.3 from the week before.
