just seen the videos of this on youtube. well done on the conger but was there any need for your mate to be bounching mackerel of the ground like that, i thought it was disgusting to be honest, there is a lot of kids that fish carrick and growen men should be showing an example. all fish should be treated with respect and killed in a humane way if they are to be taken home.

mackerel are just a bait fish out in boats there just threw into a fish box? are you saying the fish arnt killed instantly and therefore suffer theres defently not a problem here and you go on about youth is that the youth that catch them in the harbour cut there tails off with a stanly knife and throw them back in alive for fun :x :x :x

I HAVE SEEN WEE LADS POKING EYES, OUT CUTTING TAILS OFF FISH,BUT IF THEY SEE GROWEN MEN BOUNCHING FISH OF GROUND LIKE THAT THEY PROBALY THINK ITS OK TO DO SO. I KNOW MACKEREL ARE BAITFISH BUT FOR A RESPECTED ANGLER SUCH AS YOUSELF I THINK YOU COULD BE SETTING A BETTER EXAMPLE. HOW MANY REPORTS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ON THESE FORUMS ABOUT MUPPETS TURNING UP AND CAUSING FISH UNESSCARY HARM. I HAD AN EXAMPLE LAST YEAR WHILST OUT WITH AL AND JORDAN A WHOLE CAR FULL OF FELLAS TURNED UP TO WATERFOOT PIER AND WERE KILLING EVERYTHING. IN THIS CASE THERE THREE GENERATIONS OF IDIOTS A GRANFATHER,FATHER AND SON. I THINK IF THE GRANFATHER MAYBE WOULD OF SHOWEN A BETTER EXAMPLE THEN MAYBE THE NEXT TWO GENERATIONS WOULD OF HAD A BIT MORE RESPECT TO TREAT FISH PRORPERLY AND HUMANELY. IT MIGHT BE JUST MY OPINION BUT I FEEL QUITE STRONGLEY ABOUT ISSUE. DAN

so what do you think about mackerel that are caught in the boats and are just thru into fish boxes alive i may add  the mackerel i catch are dispatched straight away and do not suffer any more than any method you would use to disbatch mackerel

A picture speaks a thousand words. In my opinion people who treat fish in that manner tend to have a similar approach to most things in life. Respect is sadly lacking on so many levels. Why would he then go and post the bloody thing on you tube?
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.
