A mackie basher i know swears blind that he had a shark of some type follow his 3 mackeral on feathers near helvick about 4ft long fin out of the water and all he nearly fell in after the experience

Actually I did; nice big black lug too--though the digging was a balls. Could be an orca maybe? I remember when that trio of orcas came into Cork Harbour a few years back. I was standing on Kennedy pier in Cobh, and saw THREE fins four foot high emerge from the water in the distance.
