duration:21.30/01.00

Hi .. im new to site and only figured out how to post and dont even know if im posting in the right location so apologies if im in the wrong.....anyway headed to laytown last wednesday and from the min we got there till it got too dark to see there were fish jumping or breaking the water all up and down the beach from about 10 meters in to about 500 meters out....we both cast out and after about 5 mins james rod doubled over he struck but missed..fish slack lined him .... that was it till the tied started to go out when i got a few little taps ..struck into something that went bananas for a min then just dead weight ...when i got it in it was a mullet that had a set of feathers stuck in his side and tail and dragging 2 weights everywhere hence the short scrap..took all the feathers out and off he went.
packed up after that as the tide was flying out

I was on the beach that night meself. Caught a nice flounder out in front of the small carpark where the picnic tables are. Were you lads down at the mouth of the river?
