People: Myself and Conor

Duration:11:30-4:00pm

Tide:LW -12:45pm

Weather:Few showers, calm, and warm

Bait:Mack, frozen crab, sandeel and squid

Rigs: 2 hook flappers

Results: 4 flounder apiece, and i lost a good fish(bass or trout)

Report: Myself and conor headed to a mark outside westport and got fishing for 11:30. Within 10 mins i had my best fish of the day, a flounder of about a pound.
Then within 15 mins of landing the flounder my rod nearly jumped outta the tripod with the rattle it got. Picked the rod up and set the hook into the fish(or so i thought!!). This was a big fish, was getting excited bring him in thinking i was into my first ever bass, and then nothing!!! He spit the damn hook out. I was rippping, but i will get him again someday! Dont know if it was a bass or a trout!

Got 3 more small flounder between then and 12:45.

Conor hooked a flounder of about 1 1/4lb at around 12:30. A fine fish and a hungry one aswell as he had swallowed both of his hooks!! He had a few small ones before that but nothin to write home about.

As soon as the tide turned at 1:00 we didnt get another touch between then and 4:00 so we packed up and hit for home!
