Report:
Managed to get out for a couple of hours fishing last week, got to the mark & set up, started spinning for at first but it was very slow & if that wasn’t bad enough the sky opened up & it lashed down rain
was soaked in no time even with the so called rain gear but I sais id stick it out for a while & after a few casts was into a nice wee Pollock followed by two more all around the 1 & 2lb mark, fishing went slow for the next while until I picked up a mackerel in close.I moved a bit further up the rock & started casting over the under water ledges but I messed up the cast so I started to reel in as fast as I could when a fish took the lure on the surface & made off for the open sea, thinking it was another Mackerel until I seen a nice wee Trout jumping clear from the water trying her best to throw the hook but I got her landed, quick pic & back she went to put on a few more pounds
picked up another Mackerel on the next cast but the wind was picking up at this stage so I moved to a more sheltered spot a hundred yards down the rock & try for a wrasse baited up with some good auld Limpets, dropped down under my feet & straight away hooked & landed a nice wee Ballan, put on a fresh Limpet & back down in the same place & got a good pluck but missed it twice but got her the third time a nice Ballan of just over 3.5lb 
quick pic & off she swam happy days next drop I got another nice one spot on 3.5lb tried to take a pic but camera Wouldn’t work after letting her go I called today as my poor camera got a good soaking no more than myself but well worth it.28th
Was a thirty minute session spinning was bad but there was plenty of gannets & gulls working the water, unfortunately out of casting range
but hopefully they will come close enough next time out so tried for a Wrasse instead & picked up two small ones on Limpets.
