Ray hunting at Rathmullan co.Donegal 25/06/2011

People:me and Lazz

Duration:1900

Tide:dropping,after 2035 rising

Weather:Sw claudy

Bait:squid,mack,sandeel,lug

Rigs:2hooks flap,pulley

Results:Lazz 3thornie 5doggie, me 5thornie and a PB. 8lb :mrgreen: and 1 rockling




Report:...continue after the meet with the SAI members,just with a small break in Buncrana/breakfast-lunch and dinner/so all in one :wink: after just driwe arraund the Swilly and hit the pier at Rathmullan,just wee bit after when Drew and his team start hitting the rays :mrgreen:
many other lads fishd that time and got nice rays too,and i took a picture with a nice Tub gurnard /see below/with Drew...
Lazz got the first small raymond and just after me,but after later we dont have a break between the action somebody get all the time something :mrgreen: :mrgreen: happy days
after 1130start the dog invasion on the south part of the pier /Drew know that/ :mrgreen:
So all together it was a brilliant day and the best ray fishing in my life /first Turbot,new PB. TBray 8lbs/Drew did the video when i had fight with the big /LADY 8lbs/-thornie...
Finished and back to Sligo 0200ish but leaved the baits behind us for Drew dan and Gabbey for the second attack in the morning..
Thank for the lads on the SAI meet and at Rathmullan for this great day :D :D :D
I hope we can fishing soon as we think at the moment -so roll on the next SAI meet and a next great session :mrgreen:

nice result there zud, the 8lb'er is a beaut 8) 8) . sorry we never made it over to get the second session in with you all. but as we drove towards the harbour in buncrana the ferry was just leaving, so we just hit fahan instead so as to maxamize our time spent fishing :D . we had a good night with us all getting thornies to 6lb each and me getting the most with 6 in the end :mrgreen: a great end to a great day. i was absolutely shattered in the end and we packed up and headed back to belfast at around 1.30am as i was shattered. we'd been on the go from 5am saturday morning. great to get out again and give the fishing itch a good oul scratch :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

hi al' glad to see fahan had eased off a bit so you could fish it, i looked at it on the way home and it looked fine, was going to bounce in there myself, but hunger was getting the better of me :lol: nice fishing guys, well done on the ramond's 8)
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

Hi Zud. It was great to meet you and Lazz on the beach at Leenan. Did that Pulley Rig I gave you catch anything at Rathmullan. :lol: :lol: :lol: Great session there and well done on your new PB.
