Fire Tail lures

I just bought a pack of the fire tail jelly worm as i want to give lure fishing a go

was wondering whats the best way to set them up ??
Species 2010.(2) Doggie, Cod
Species 2011.(12) Dab, Coalie, 5 Bearded Rockling, Whiting, Doggie, Pollock, Shanny/Common Blenny, Silver Eel, Mackerel, Wrasse, Sting Ray, Cod

Species 2012.(5) Sea Scorpion, Pollock, sand eel, mackerel, corkwing wrasse.

2012 Wishlist. Conger, Smooth Hound, Bass

lead head. The size would depend on your rod. Have a look through the other reports and in particular the lure fishing section. Loads of good advice there.

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.

i use them for pollock , in this order from top to bottom is how i set mine up;weight,bead,swivel,3 foot of line to size 3/0 hook in the jelly worm
2011 species: pollock,mackeral,coalfish,whiting,codling,conger,flounder,dogfish,pouting.Not bad for my first few months fishing :)

2012 species: Coalfish (13), Bass (1), Rockling (5), Ballan wrasse (2), Pollock (57), Dogfish (8),
Whiting (1), Conger (1)

I'd go with a 20g lead head for Nice and easy casting. I find the set ups with line between lure and weight are difficult to cast and they can get wrapped around obstacles and snag easily. I suppose it depends on where you intend to fish. I would be using the lead head with soft plastics on the move and in and out of various rocky and weedy ground. Also if I'm knee deep in water I don't want to be changing snagged rigs which are complicated. If it snags I just whip another lead head on where I'm standing. This means the lure spends more time in the water.

I think im gona go with the lead heads they seem to be the most straight forward

although i will try other methods just to see
