how to present sand eels on hooks ?

what is the best way of presenting a sandeel on a hook. i seen that some people cut the ell to make it bleed, where do i make these cuts.

you just snip off at the gill covers. and make sure the head end is at the point of the hook. you can trim the tail as well to present the bait better.

I usually hook a whole sand eel through the tail end and pass the hook up the body ( Like putting on a worm) and bring it out around the mid-section , I then wrap bait elastic to secure the eel to the hook .. this is supposed to make the eel look more natural this way when presented.I some times hook two sand eel on one after another on same hook, if they are small using same method. Have to say I rarely miss a fish with this method.

trim the the side fins and cut down the tail fin tie on the hook with bait elastic at the tail
