Hi,
I am going down here next weekend and was wondering what the fishing is like off the pier/ beach behind it. Taking my little brother fishing so was thinking rag/ crab floated for wrasse?
Please Help!

Spinning soft plastics from the rocks at the rocks behind the pier. That would be my bet anyway. Fished it at 5.30am one August morning a couple of years ago. Caught a few nice pollock and a couple of macs.
List 2010. fish
List 2011: less fish
2012: less fish again,
2013: even less fish.

Fished a comp on the slade side out towards the light house on sat evening. Pollack, wrasse and dogs were caught, 4 fish won the comp. I'd go with float fished rag as close to the bottom or top of the kelp as you can get. Lost half my tackle box contents to the kelp. Got a good few undersized pollack using a heavy toby with the hook removed as a weight and a dropper with mack strip or rag about two foot above it. Flash from the sinking toby seemed to attract them.
