we're spending a couple of days in Dingle next weekend. Me and the lad are planning on doing a little fishing... still anticipating our first catch of the year! Any advice on safe fishing marks in the Dingle area.

The Castle Tower which is on the left coming into Dingle facing the harbour entrance would be safe, plenty of ray here with good a showing of Plaice ,Dabs and other bits and pieces.....

Yes have had Plaice to 2lb+ there (Although if you want to target them specifically in Dingle, the outer rocks off the right side of Ferriter's Cove produces the bigger ones, banging out onto the sand.Adam S wrote:Have you really had Plaice there? Never had one.
If the Castle is fished over Low Water at night, you can wade out gently with a light and spot the Thornback Ray on the bottom.

we were at the same trick one night on the far side o er at the old leather factory. A site user who shall remain nameless nearly sh1t himself when dingles most famous son surfaced and drowned him with his blowhole from less than a rod length away!Labyrinthfish wrote:
