Lads was out in bettystown today with the family and had a walk along the beach. There was loads of gullies and bait trapping holes, with tonnes of razor shells and crab skelitons all over the place.Looked good for possible bass and flatties. Now what I was wondering was is it worth giving it a try as the beach is miles long and the water level appears to be quite shallow. Any advice will be great and any marks / reccommendations would be taken to the grave
thanks cormac

Re: Bettystown Beach
I'd be inclined to give it a go! Those beaches do produce Bass, they're sporadic but I haven't tried them at this time of year......

Re: Bettystown Beach
This beach fishes best on an easterly wind as it gives it a good surf
I have not fished in two years hoping to change that this year with anything ?

Re: Bettystown Beach
Fish it very often and it can produce flatties and maybe Bass but not till closed season is back open, it can also be very weedy after a big gale
