Westport spinning

#1 Post by Stevor »

Can anybody please recommend a few handy spots for spinning around the Westport area. Just some easy access areas for macks , pollock bass etc . Will be down that way soon.

now when he says bertragh beach he means not at the beach but to walk down to the channel at the corner and catch them there,,,,thats the best spot for them

Old head in louisburgh is a good spot for pollock and wrasse. Walk down to the rocks on the left hand side of pier. Bertra is a good spot for mack (end of beach). Not many in yet though.
The two best times to fish is when it's rainin' and when it ain't!!
