Sligo beach mark

#1 Post by Dawsey »

Left this one very late.....

Heading across from co. down for a few days fishing in the sligo area. Can any of the boys from that area give me a bit of info on a beach mark that would produce this time of the year.

Heading over tomorrow night (tuesday) until thursday. Any info would be appreciated, any one free for a run out would be cool.

Cheers

Hi Mate

I haven't been out in Sligo for a few weeks but you usually can't go wrong with Streedagh. You'll usually get a few nice flatties or a trout. Mack, lug and sandeel are the best baits. Fish from about 4 hours before high water up. The best time is usually around 3 hours before high water. Fish directly over the dunes from the carpark. If you're stuck for directions give me a shout.

Cheers
Shane
