Report:its has been so long since we were out we were trying to think how it had felt to catch a fish,,,with all this terrible wind and rain the slightes chance we said we were going to take it so we did last night.got all organised and arrived to our mark with a nice rolling fast surf.we were hoping for a few trout and maybe good sized flats.we both got off to a very slow start with our baits coming in and not being touched,,,but i got a lucky nod and reeled in a flounder to a size of 40cm so we got a little hope.this mark has never let me down and until i got him i was thinking it was going to.i picked up a few more flats but terry was struggling to get some which then he got a tiny coalie so he was happy.at about half 12 we were kinda dissapointed it didnt fish better and no trout were around,we were apart from each other but were thinking the same way.HOME.so i took in one rod,cleaned my baiting board when the next thing i heard a roar and went over to him to find him carrying in a 5lb trout,you want to see his face,lovely fish and i do believe theres bigger out there.we stayed another hour and he got a double of a flat and a small trout,,,,,,iwe enjoyed our night and headed home and both definetly agreeing that we will be back for the grandad trouts.roll on summer is only starting...wohooooooo
excellent trout and 40cm flounder all the sweeter after the dry spell!great fishing
