I currently use a Seine net which I constructed myself, its about 10m long and made of builders windbreak.I make a couple of hauls a year and usually have enough bait frozen to get be through the year.
I know that in the U.K the use of nets when waded out from shore is perfectly legal as long as no motor assisted boat is used and the catch is not sold for financial gain. In fact I don't think the even have restriction 'at risk species'.
I'm not sure whether the mesh size (approx. 5mm) is a factor or not and length of net used.
Anyone with a bit of insight would be appreciated.
