Advice on where to stay in Donegal (2nd week of June)

#1 Post by dave316 »

Due to a change of plans i need to find a prime location for a week in Donegal for a sea angler with a young family (and the in-laws for half the week). I need to find an area where i am hopefully within walking distance of say nice beach and maybe harbour or rock marks. Also important will be reliable mackeral and worm supply to buy or dig/catch or hopefully both. Last of all, the area will need to be near decent shopping, entertainment and generally good area to go for us with 3 and 4yr old sons in tow. Nice walks etc perhaps.

thankyou, if anyone can help and i hope to book a place for about maybe £500-600 range in next few days
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

What happened to Gortahork? I had a great answer on the fishing there all done out for you....!

Anyway, Dunfanaghy/PortNaBlagh, dunno about prices though.
