At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!
Looking someone to point me in the right direction for a quailty line to suit my reel (525mag).....theres so many out there im confused   ....using leeda line at the moment but its obvious that this stuff is cheap and nasty...suggestions greatly appreciated
try the new sakuma line mate, ghost line , or as lee says trilene all good stuff.if you want it for rough ground try daiwa sensor very good and not to expensive.
Congrats on the 1000 posts k2, Usually use 15lb Daiwa Tournament on mine have had no problems whatsoever with it, I use tapered leaders (also Daiwa 15lb tip) and find that if pulling for a break these usually snap before the main line about 6 inches or so down from knot.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial
I use Ultima F1 on all my reels and never have a bit of bother. I know it's quite expensive but if you look on ebay sometimes you can pick it up fairly cheap. I really think you get what you pay for.
2nd choice would the new Imax line. 15lb is only .30 and it cast great too. It has good abrasion resistance also. :D
3rd choice as Pat said. Penn surf: £10 per spool but if you buy 2 spools you get a 3rd free. You can also mix and match the breaking strains if you want. :)

Just shows how different we all are, I have removed Berkley and Sensor from reels, and while I am happy with Super surf i am looking for a second brand I like. Keep on searching.
I'm using Live Fibre TX braid, 100% Dyneema 30lb,this is .26mm,fits lovely on the reel, doesn't stretch and no abrasion, and no tangles yet,if it's not broken don't fix it I suppose,a bit pricey though, around 25 Euro for 270m,1 spool.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!
ultima - would use f1 or red ice again, distance ok
berkely big game, good
fladen stark , cheap and good
daiwa sensor or tournament, never had any problems
shakespeare - never got on with it
greylon, will know soon
berkeley iron silk good for rough ground
may have forgot some but they are the most ive recently tried
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!
Diawa Tournament 15lb is what i use on my 525 mag with Diawa Tournament shock leader the taperd stuff.
tho might start useing braid soon still use Diawa Tournament shock leader tho
