Tryed fishing there once but could not find the right spots. Fishing from the small beach at the end of St Finians bay can produce nice bass and small turbot ,if you climb ophill at the right side of that beach you can reach a few marks off the rocks. There seem to be a few good spots at Boolakeel, not far from the little inlet you can see on google maps east of Boolakeel.
A few 100 meters before you reach the houses of Kildreelig. There is a member of this forum who will send me directions,
I'll mail them to you if he does.We will be fishing the shoremarks at Boolakeel ,Hogs Head and Lambs Head from May 4-9,try and fish some mixed beach/rockmarks.We aim for triggerfish and big wrasse at Bolus head.Rag,peeler crab, lug, sandeel and squid will do the trick we hope.We will use softbaits like firetails and shads too.It seems to be very depending on the wheather over there.I was there before in very rough conditions so the motivation to search for the right spots was not entirely there and I also I was with my better half. The steep descents seem to be dangerous when wet,so if you go,don't go alone, and take care and leave the missus and the kids home.
