North Beach, Wicklow

usually fish bray and greystones but wana try a little bit further and was thinking of North Beach Wicklow

What kind of beach is it ? sandy, shingle ??

has anyone fished it lately ?
Species 2010.(2) Doggie, Cod
Species 2011.(12) Dab, Coalie, 5 Bearded Rockling, Whiting, Doggie, Pollock, Shanny/Common Blenny, Silver Eel, Mackerel, Wrasse, Sting Ray, Cod

Species 2012.(5) Sea Scorpion, Pollock, sand eel, mackerel, corkwing wrasse.

i fished a beach near enough to it last night fished from6 to 10 over low water. i had 2 whiting 1 flounder and 1 Bass 48/49cm :D first of the year :wink:

also meant to ask if it had easy access mate of mine has a bad knee and cant clim rocks or anything like that.

very handy park the car and stright onto the beach the monkey pole is a well knowen spot on the beach but it a bit of a walk if you have lots of gear or a bad knee good luck and tight lines

went yesterday fished the beach from 12-4 with not even a bite

tried the harbour for a hour an managed a small whiting which saved the blank.

Dont give up on it, about 2 years ago 17 consecutive trebble dogfish in 2 and a half hours off that beach, 51 fish :shock: till they dropped off and I was only getting doubles :roll:

Ill be getting cortazone injections next time im heading there :lol: we ran out of bait and still got fish on smoke butts soaked in mackeral juice
