On the subject of water safety.

#1 Post by Danny M. »

I am currently saving for this jacket:

http://www.seasafe.co.uk/store/product_ ... egoryId=81

It will be my wading jacket, at least it will give me chance if I should go in.

Has anyone ever used/seen/heard anything about them?

Any feedback would be great.
Cheers,
Danny.

You can get a decent floatation suit for £90 or less, but up to you mate.

How ya,

I have a floatation suit mate, but its too cumbersome for lure fishing.

Hi Danny M. it looks a good jacket and i agree with the floatation suit been too bulky. i saw a jacket similiar to that one in port west in galway. it was for sailing and it was around 150 euro. worth a look.

Personally, I think I'd rather a seperate system - a jacket being a jacket and a lifejacket being just that. But still, better than nothing at all if you really need it.

Also, imagine the fuss when Mrs M. finds it after a couple of trips and decides "That needs a wash. I'll just pop it into the machine now when Danny isn't looking. Dunno why he tells me not to touch his stuff, look at it, it's filthy......"
