great fishing man!!. lovely conger and a cracking sea scorpion 8) 8) a very well written report, almost felt like i was there man, congrads. funny you should mention about using the coalie for conger bait. we caught more last year on coalie and pollack than we did on mackeral :? :? we were fishing red bay at the start of this year when a party of boat anglers came back in after a days skate fishing. they were using 2lb coalies for skate bait as it was outfishing the mackeral too. weird or what :? :? . as for the bison boat/spin rod. i got one too off ebay for £30 :P i'm taking it to norway with me on thursday, so it will be put through it's paces from the boat and shore, but there was pics of the buyer i got it off catching a 100lb+ skate on it. so it should handel anything the irish coast can throw at it easy enough :P
