Ive booked the Clare Dragoon charter boat http://www.fishandstay.com/boat/
for a deep water reef fishing trip next Saturday, weather permitting. Target species
pollack, ling, wrasses, whiting, haddock, cod and the usual other suspects.
The fish seem to enter a kind of dormant state in March and once the water starts
to warm up a they go a bit mad trying to catch up so April can be a productive month.
The boat leaves from Carrigaholt pier at 9am, about a three hour drive from Dublin or two hours from Cork,
and gets back in around 530. The cost for the boat is 500 euro for the day,
hopefully split between 5 or 6 lads
Please post here if you are interested in taking a seat on this trip

Re: seats available deep water reef trip, sat 9/4
the forecast has changed a bit and is showing fairly fresh SE winds, the skipper has
advised to postpone this trip as it will be uncomfortable enough in the estuary.
He has offered us places on an individually booked trip ( ie rather than chartering
the whole boat places are available at 80 euro per person ) on tues 26th and wed 27th
april, just after easter. I can make those dates some hopefully we will meet up then
weather permitting
