Ballycastle Beach, 22/03/11 [Video Report]

Duration: 4.30pm - 9.30pm

Tide: Big n Wet

Weather: Gorgeous, bit of drizzle but lovely...

Bait: Lugworm, Mackeral, Ragworm, Razor, Sandeel, White Rag

Rigs: Varied

Results:

Good amount of Flounders around 20cm, 3 Coalfish, and a Turbot

Report:

Went to Ballycastle beach to see what was about, we weren't disappointed and had a great night catching loads of flats in ideal conditions.

Well done lads. Video reports are the new black 8) Very fishy lookin stretch of coast.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark

Species 2015: Ballan wrasse, poor cod, pollack, ling, flounder, turbot, mackerel, whiting, lsd, dab, grey gurnard, pouting, cuckoo wrasse, cod

nice one drew, i went out last night but was suppost to go on Tues night but couldnt as i had too much work to do.
2011 species (16) - Flounder, Coalies, Pollock, sand eel, Wrasse, Sea Trout, dogfish, thornback ray, Whiting, Red Gurnard, Codling, Grey gurnard, pouting, Mackeral, Turbot, Plaice

targets for 2011 - Bass, sea trout and big cod! - Scratch one! Sea Trout Down!

Was a glorious evening,sunny,dry,plenty of fish,and 4 the 1st time in about 5mths no need 2 wear the flotation suit 2 keep warm
