Abu Fixed Spool
I got a new Abu Garcia reel at xmas from the father, brought me into the shop and I picked it out, 90euro so not bad, but now im wondering, will my Abu Garcia rod and reel hold up against a Tope or something nice and big. The rod is from the stigma model and i cant remember the model the reels from but i wanna know will a fixed spool be enough for bigger fish or should it be left for makeral and bass fishing?

Re: Abu Fixed Spool
Fixed spool reels are able to handle bigger fish too, if you had the reel size and Model it would help people give you a better answer

Loads of lads have caught tope on a fixed spool, once it has plenty of line good strong quality components and a lad that hasn't got two left hands on the other end ur set
