Out for a quick session this evening after work, arrived at the mark and fished hard for about an hour but not even a tap. Decide to try again on the way back up to the car, stopped and cast out. After about 10 minutes got hit just as I was about to lift the lure, the bass took the lure under my feet and was ashore in a split second(literally
).54cm and 4.5lb on the scales, Fished on for another hour, had two serious hits one of which straightened a hook, but failed to keep connected with them 
.Packed up at 19:00 and headed home.
