West Waterford 21/03/2011

#1 Post by declan65 »

People:me

Duration:2hours

Tide:HW about 18:40

Weather:overcast, mild,slight onshore breeze

Bait:Lures

Rigs:

Results:One Bass. 54cm ,4.5lbs

Report:

Out for a quick session this evening after work, arrived at the mark and fished hard for about an hour but not even a tap. Decide to try again on the way back up to the car, stopped and cast out. After about 10 minutes got hit just as I was about to lift the lure, the bass took the lure under my feet and was ashore in a split second(literally  ).54cm and 4.5lb on the scales, Fished on for another hour, had two serious hits one of which straightened a hook, but failed to keep connected with them  .Packed up at 19:00 and headed home.

Well done Declan, nice fish.

I ordered that lure from Japan back in Dec 09 and was sent a 175 flyer in gold/orange by mistake ... haven't caught on it yet !

Must call down to Waterford and pick up a few.
