Cloud cover and water clarity

Just wondering about cloud cover. Does it have much affect on the fishing. If so is too much to bad or good. Is a clear sky better.

Also what's the script with water clarity? I've read different views on it. If its clear the fish will not be so brave as to come in close. Or if its too murky will fish that hunt mostly by sight not be able to see the bait?

In regards how clear or overcast it is from my experience ive found it more productive fishing when its been dull rather than bright and sunny,but in saying that ive had alot of good fish in the middle of a beautiful summers day.Unless lure fishing im not to sure how much water clarity realy matters one of the more seasoned anglers might be able to tell you.I think when beach fishing your bait is pretty much static the fish pick up on the scent rather than the movement the most productive time to fish i think we will all agree is night time and unless the fish are issued with army strength night vision goggles you can take it there going by scent.Im sure you will get alot more feedback on the subject but thats just from my experience. .

depends on the target ,bass will feed in bright sunshine or darkness,unless you are fishing in deep water or on a cloudy day you wont do well with cod,smoothies will feed any time sometimes daylight is better sometimes night i think tide has a lot to do with smoothies also,if the water is coloured they all go on the rampage,the bristol channel throws up cod anytime cos its the colour of tea most the time the wall in monkstown is a daylight cod venue again tide and water clarity would affect the fishing,each mark has its best time for fish and its not always as clear cut as most think and it can change with the seasons and target fish now i bet your sorry you asked
