bass now full of roe !

in the last month i have noticed most bass i have caught are females that are packed with roe i hope that all anglers return all bass between now and the end of the ban most fish caught now will be female feeding up before breeding its up to us to protect them

i think they carry roe all year round.

Maybe the closed season should be changed to March/April rather than May/June. I think that there was a similar post last year on bass spawning season.

hey thats very sexist male bass maynot be full of milk all year round but where would them big fat girls be without them SAVE THE BOY BASS!! :lol:how did you know they where full of roe?

well rodger the belly's of the fish caught were all swollen on one of the fish i gave its belly a squese and some came out surely the others with the big belly's are the same unless they went to mcdonalds before the beach

go on ya bass squeezer :lol: :lol: just before the ban alot of fish will squirt all over the place without even picking them up they are fit to burst :shock: just handle them as little as possible and pop em back i,m sure nature will still take care of the rest 8) the odd one wont go back cos its deep hooked in general if its bleeding like a pig i,d take it for the pot rather than watch it float off belly up :roll: the cold winter this year hasnt seemed to affect the cork bass and its a good sign if they are getting fat and frisky already plenty of fish in the future 8)
