I fish Gormanston beach a lot in the autumn, haven't tried it any later than Christmas but in the rite conditions it's great for Bass and Big Flounder(biggest over 2 lbs) See photo....

I've had a number of other species here, Eels, Whiting, codling, Rockling, even had a Guilthead Sea Bream about 1 1/2lbs towards the end of 2009....

Best baits I've found are Rag and Razor....

Let's know if you trey it and have any luck!

gormanstown can throw up a few great flounders i never had any bass off it though maybe with a good surf and a bit of patience it could be good!

Ill be giving it a go either thursday or friday evening for the first time this year but the same as the previous posts said you kinda need a good surf for the fish to venture in on the feed.I had a few blanks there during last year but Im sure that was down to my own lack of experience in the area. Ill post results.....
